Mounting job in between centres
Objectives : At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
• set live and dead centre proper alignment
• mount the catch plate
• set the bent tail carrier
• support the job in between centre.
Job sequence
• Dismount the chuck and clean spindle nose. • Check live and dead centre alignment.
• Mount the catch plate and adaptor with MT centre. • Clamp the bent tail carrier in workpiece.
• Mount the dead centre in tailstock spindle. • Support the job in between centre.
