Job sequence
TASK 1: Cutting external thread
• Check the given raw material for its size. • Hold the workpiece in a bench vice with 'V' bolck.
• Select the 3/8 BSW Die, M10 Die and Diestock. • Cut external threads both ends using a hand die and
match with M10 and 3/8 BSW thread nut.
TASK 2 : Cutting internal thread
• Check the given raw material for its size. • Drill through holes ϕ 8.5 and ϕ 7.5mm related to tap
holes.
• File and finish the given material to 78 x 10 x 120 mm
size. • Drill tap drill size holes for 3/8 BSW screw and chamfer
the end with a countersink.
• Remove the sharp edges.
• Cut 3/8 BSW with the tap.
